My Pop Rocks 3 (Father's Day treat)- Sunday 18th June 2017

Glorious summer sunshine welcomed the audience and performers alike at this year's Father's Day special. The sunshine ensuring that parasols, sunshades and beach tents along with lashings of sun cream were the order of the day.

This year's entertainment was provided by first and second year music students from St Vincent Sixth Form College and legendary entertainer Shep Woolley, The students beginning their set with some fine summer blues and including solo singer/songwriters as well as group based music. Shep Woolley was of course the consummate entertainer opening with Dylan's 'Knocking on Heaven's Door' his set further including 'Gosport Nancy' and a version of The Wheels on the Bus that was further enhanced by the chorus and dancing of the younger members of the audience.

The Friends of Leesland Park meet monthly to carry out a range of park maintenance tasks our next community event ParkFest 17. Please navigate our site for further details of what we are up to and are  planning.
