Your park needs you .......

The Friends of Leesland Park volunteers meet on a monthly basis to undertake a range of park husbandry tasks. Subject to weather and time of year these tasks include tree, shrub and wild flower planting, cutting and collecting grass, bramble and hedgerow control, orchard maintenance, litter picking, park furniture repairs etc etc. We meet just inside the park at the Whitworth Close/Daisy Lane entrance at 10.30 on the last Sunday of each month and work through until 1230/1300. Free tea/coffee and biscuits available for workers at our mid-morning break. All tools provided, safety advice and task instructions issued ahead of work commencing. All welcome.

Santa's in the Park - Sunday 17th December 2017

While he is expecting a very busy year this year, Father Christmas has once again agreed to visit Leesland Park in order to meet the local children and to hear what they might like for Christmas this year. Santa is expected to arrive on the park at 2.00pm and we are hoping he will stay with us until 4.00 pm. The event is free and all children visiting Santa will receive a gift. Hot drinks will be available at a small cost for those waiting to see Father Christmas.
