Your park needs you

The Friends of Leesland Park volunteers meet on a monthly basis to undertake a range of park husbandry tasks. Subject to weather and time of year these tasks include cutting and raking grass, bramble and hedgerow control, orchard maintenance, litter picking, park furniture repairs etc etc. We meet just inside the park at the Whitworth Close/Daisy Lane entrance at 10.30 on the last Sunday of each month and work through until 1230/1300. Free tea/coffee and biscuits available for workers at our mid-morning break. All tools provided, safety advice and task instructions issued ahead of work commencing. All welcome.

Volunteer Work Day - Sunday 29th October 2017Subject to weather conditions our primary task for the October workday will be a cut and collect in the park's Orchard. We also have some wildflower seeds to sow, there is always something for the litter pickers to collect and bramble and hedge trimming tasks.
